Hare Notes: Summer is finally here, school is finishing up and our pool is finally warm thanks to Opee’s homemade solar heating system. What better time for a hash? Don’t forget your bathing suits. We’ll fire up the grill for an early dinner. No need to bring grillables, but be sure to RSVP so we buy enough. Please bring a salad or other side to share. Bring your friends along!

Hare Notes: 2011 is already 1/3 over, so it’s about time for the Dutch Treat Hash to finally start running again. Please join us for an Easter Egg Hunt and BBQ in Leidschendam to celebrate spring and the DTH3 5th Anniversary. We’ll fire up the grill for an early dinner, so bring along something for your family. We’ll provide salads, munchies and drinks. Don’t forget to tell your friends! Please RSVP to let us know if you’re coming.

Directions:

By car: Click here for Google Map. Take N14 towards Leidschendam. After going through a tunnel (or 2), turn Left on Noordsingel. Take a Right onto Dillenburgsingel and first Left onto Boslaan. Go about 100 meters and you’ll see the entrance to the back side of the Shell station on your left. When you get to this point, you’ll see our garage on the right (with two blue canoes in front). There’s parking for several cars. If the driveway is full, turn around and take the 1st left into the parking lot. Park and walk around to our green fence. Call (070) 317-5063 if you’re lost.

By public transport: It’s a 10-minute walk from the end point of Tram #2 or the Weikamp stop for Bus #45. Let us know if you’re coming by tram or bus and we’ll set trail to the start.

Hare Notes: Hashing to the International Kite Festival was such a success last year, that we’ve decided to use the event as an excuse to try to recruit some new hashers from the American Women’s Club members. We’ve also invited the Hague Hash along, so we’ll do a kid’s trail, an adult’s trail and a separate walking trail. Afterwards, we’ll go back to the clubhouse for dinner.

There will even be an extra World Cup flag hunt at some of the checks. Be sure to bring bathing suits for a dip in the pool afterwards. Hash Cash: € 2 adults / € 1 kids for drinks and snacks

Hare Notes: Join us for the last Dutch Treat Hash this decade. Grab Santa hats, antler hats, jingle bells or whatever else you have to show everyone your holiday spirit.

Directions: Public transport: From Den Haag Centraal, take Bus 18 towards Clingendael at 2:05 to Weissenbruchstraat halt at 2:09. Cross road to house #18. For other alternatives, see www.9292ov.nl

Where: Raaphorstlaan 11C, Wassenaar (park at the house or 50m up the road)

When: Sunday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. (pack off at 2:30 p.m.)

Hares: Just Simon, Varina, Tom and Samantha

Hash Cash: € 2 adults / € 1 kids for drinks and snacks

Hare Notes: Please join us for a new family’s first try at haring.

Directions: Public Transport: Weekend bus service to Wassenaar doesn’t run very often, but Bus 90 leaves at 1:25 p.m. from Den Haag Centraal to halt Houtlaan with just a 7 minute walk to the start.
